Scope and Content

The Wildlife Professional is a magazine containing news and analysis designed to keep today’s wildlife professionals informed about critical advances in wildlife science, conservation, management, and policy. It features in-depth articles as well as brief summaries of relevant scientific articles and profiles of modern professional wildlife managers. Rotating departments cover such issues as wildlife health and disease, human-wildlife interactions, professional development, ethics in practice, and tools and technology.


The Wildlife Society launched The Wildlife Professional in spring 2007 as a free membership benefit. Select articles from each issue of the magazine are available to members and non-members at Members can access the complete PDF of each issue of The Wildlife Professional by logging in to the Membership Center and clicking "My Publications" on the left.
