After seven years of dedicated service to The Wildlife Society, Dr. Michael Hutchins has stepped down as the ED/CEO of TWS. He is preparing a letter to the membership, which will be distributed soon. Dr. Hutchins has made many notable contributions to TWS over the years, and Council greatly appreciates his service to the profession and wishes him all the best with his future endeavors.
During the transition, TWS President Paul R. Krausman with the Council’s Executive Committee will serve as the Executive Director, and Darryl Walter will serve as Chief-of-Staff in addition to his regular duties. An announcement about the search for a new Executive Director will be published shortly. We greatly appreciate the support of membership during this transition. Council is confident in the professional staff in Bethesda, and anticipates that all Society functions and member services will continue smoothly and without interruption as we move forward.
